From the beginning, Monika and Sam’s life was meant to be adventurous. They met each other on the dating app OKCupid in December, 2015. On their very first date, Samantha broke her ankle – what?!?! Their life together was off to a hobbling start, but life is an adventure!

Samantha used a scrapbook to creatively propose to Monika. As Monika looked through the scrapbook pages, the last page said "Monika will you marry me, with her engagement ring taped to the middle of the page.

Their adventures didn't stop, even on their wedding day. Before walking down the aisle, it was discovered the flower girl had thrown all the bouquets IN the toilets. Yes! Right into the toilets! “Keep calm and remember you are Wonder Woman," said Monika. The bouquets were eventually salvaged after scooping them out and drying them off - it was hysterical and only served to spice up the day. 

The theme of their wedding, Wonder Woman, was spectacular, Wonder Woman colors, her logo, and her red star inspired the wedding day decorations. As joyous as the day was, it did hold some bittersweet moments. Monika’s father passed away shortly after the wedding. Able to have her father present on her wedding day meant everything to Monika. Immortalizing his image forever in pictures are treasures to remember him by - forever.
