In 2017 I messaged my friend, Kara, after noticing her sister, Kristen, on social media. The message went something like this, "Kara, is your sister dating anyone? If not hook me up!" I know typical single dude fashion asking for someone to introduce him to her sister. Kara responded that Kristen was recently single, but concentrating on herself for now. “Oh ok,” was my reply but I was really thinking, "How can this chick pass up a date with @thebrandonmund ?!?!"

Months had passed and I sent Kristen a message on social media that read, "So you have been matched on farmers only so I thought I would come out and say hi!" The message showed she read it the next day. Now I am waiting to see her response. I wait. And I wait. And, you get the drift – no response. Talk about a blow to a man's ego especially when he already has a big ego!

Two months go by and the response that I was waiting for came! It was, “lol!” What? I received an LOL as a response, months later, so I was definitely interested. Being single in today's society people tend to date online, and guess where I find Ms. Shea next??? Yep. Online dating format. We chatted and agreed to meet.

We booked a lunch date on a Friday afternoon at a trendy restaurant. I was early and waiting when Kristen came in the room. I could tell it was her before she introduced herself because her personality lit up the room, you know the kind that just draws you to them, well that is Kristen. There was chemistry happening. She has the cutest voice I have ever heard and this is coming from an ex-radio disk jockey.

We are now living life as a married couple, and as best friends.
