Gavin and Camille started dating as sophomores in high school, dating through high school and  college. Gavin graduated with a masters in accounting, while Camille graduated from nursing school. After nine years together, Camille didn't know Gavin planned a weekend in March to propose. That weekend was the beginning of COVID and all plans were canceled. When the quarantine lifted a bit in May, they decided visit family.

Gavin, family, and friends began secretly planning for the proposal. Camille's mother told her they were having a small graduation party and to look her best for pictures. That evening, Camille was coaxed onto the patio. Gavin had told Camille he was going to be a late, but when she walked outside Gavin was waiting. When Camille saw the look on his face, she knew exactly what was going to happen!

"Gavin looked nervous, but so excited as he got down on one knee. Then our closest friends and family were on the patio, the photographer came from behind the bushes, and the patio was being decorated. It was the perfect night, and I’m so thankful we were able to celebrate with the people who have watched our relationship grow over all these years."
